OBJECTIVES
- To provide free education for backward and rural poor children.
- To provide free health services at the doorstep of needy backward and rural poor citizens.
- To provide vocational education and training to achieve poverty alleviation.
- To engage in creative and constructive social action and inculcate in the human beings the sense of dignity of labour.
- To conduct mass marriages for backward and rural poor major girls, providing monthly rations and maintenance of rural widows, forming women self help groups, etc in achieving woman empowerment.
- To work and arrange different activities and programmes for the development of Computer Education and Information Technology irrespective of caste, color, sex creed and religion.
- Organizing agricultural seminars, farmer’s workshops, forming farmers clubs, self help groups, seed, fertilizer and agricultural machinery distribution, etc for Agriculture & Rural Development.
- Working towards green plantation, maintenance of tree lines across Indian roads, sapling distribution, conducting plantation workshops, garden maintenance workshops, green awareness campaigns, global warming awareness programs, etc towards green environment.
- Taking care of stray cattle, conducting last rites of died stray cattle, dairy farming, animal husbandry and forestry.
- To build and maintain orphanage for street children and handicapped children.
- To build and maintain old age home for neglected senior citizens.
- Working towards helping unemployed rural youths to get in to employment, etc.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
The Confederation is established to promote, develop, protect, aid foster and empower, directly and indirectly, the constituent member of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) working particularly in rural as well as urban India, to achieve the following objectives inter alia :
- To obtain financial and technical assistance from the Government(s), governmental organisations, corporate sector, NRIs, regional and international financial institutions.
- To act as channelizing, monitoring and mentoring platform for effectively implementing programmes spread over a wider geographical area or programmes involving multitude of disciplines.
- To develop and design for buying, selling, exporting, and importing system web-based solutions and software for use in various applications in India or abroad.
- To develop export of small scale industries goods and import of latest technology for rural development.
- To sales and purchase of consumables goods such as modern arts, crockery, all types of appliances and above equipments.
- To undertake capacity and quality appraisals of the constituent member NGOs, carry out periodical reviews and help them, in capacity building and performance enhancement so that they may contribute their best to the development of rural India.
- To assist in the development of Self Help Groups (SHGs) of farmers including small and marginal farmers, artisans, labour including agricultural labour and other service providers with special emphasis on women, youth, differentially-abled and other disadvantaged sections of the society.
- To serve as a forum for addressing growing concerns in the areas of Right to Information (RTI), transparency and other issues of collective interests and to take up these issues with the appropriate authorities.
- To maintain a centralized pool of legal, technical, financial and management experts, advisors and professionals and in addition, professionals involved in the areas of subsidies, countervailing duties, issues relating to IPRs, geographical indications of goods, protection of plant varieties and farmers' rights, environment and other emerging frontiers of knowledge, in order to serve as a referral point for servicing the needs of desirous parties.
- To organize and conduct such promotional and training programmes, entrepreneurial development programmes, executive development programmes, quality orientation programmes, refresher courses, lectures and seminars for the executives of voluntary organisations, volunteers and target groups and relevant to any of the fields of interest of the constituent members.
- To introduce latest technologies in rural area for the growth of economy and to increase employment opportunities.
- To provide necessary support and inputs and to contribute by suitable means at the time of natural calamities and undertake and participate in disaster management and rehabilitation.
- To provide support of information and technology by organizing or participating in workshops, exhibitions, conferences and seminars or by collaboration with organisation and institution
- To organize and participate in international and regional meetings, seminars, conferences, exhibitions, fairs and produce literature and undertake publicity.
- To undertake all such other lawful activities as may be incidental or conducive or ancillary to the attainment of the objectives of the Society.
- To fight against exploitation, injustice and corruption if found against any individual, class, community in the society.
- To educate the people for adoption of the good norms of a good citizenship and to inculcate into the people's mind, ideals of national unity.
- To help and generate training programme for self employment of women and educated unemployed people and to work for adult education
- To create the means for providing medical assistance to the people suffering from diseases, especially for helpless people.
- To provide help under health & nutrition services for women and children.
- To create awareness among the people regarding AIDS etc. and To educate people against taking drugs and Alcohol.

SRWCS have been collaborating with LIC for Micro Insurance, NABARD for SELF HELP GROUP campaign Punjab National Bank to promote financial inclusion among poor and marginal masses of rural areas
