People At SRWCS

People are the core of this organisation. Be it the trustees who are the guardians of SRWCS’ ethos, or the members of its Managing Committee who steer the organisation to its designated goals, or the employees and volunteers who use their commitment, time and skills to enable organization’s work, people who make extraordinary change possible through their work. In principle, members of the Board serve in their individual capacity, and not as representatives of any organisation or institution, to ensure complete independence in policy making. The key role of the managing committee is to provide direction and leadership to the organisation, evolve and implement strategy, create relevant organisational policy and efficiently run operations. All of these people make SRWCS what it is today - a true people's movement for the rights of India's rural poor and tribal people.

Accomplishing the milestones SRWCS has achieved in last three years has been possible due to the organization’s ability to continually attract, retain and develop a cadre of talented, committed professionals who come from all walks of life and backgrounds. Executives, Chartered accountants, post-graduates in Social Work, communications professionals, bankers, HR specialists, salespeople, MBA-types, geeks, artists, writers, foodies from every ethnic, linguistic, religious and ideological persuasion. This diversity, coupled with an unrelenting commitment to building a culture of openness, transparency, accountability and democracy within the organisation is what makes SRWCS. And the opportunities for personal and professional learning and growth are what attract and keep people in jobs that pay a fraction of their market value.

Illiteracy is a curse and the " SRWCS " is poised to eliminate it to the best of its capacity and ability. We have IITans, MBA’s, foreign returned who studied from the best of global universities, scholars, intellectuals and people from different walks of life on our board who believe in working together for the all-round development of our brothers and sisters who are left behind. We are an organization with young set of people from different background like agriculture; business and technical are supporting us with their expertise. We have strong base of volunteer network to connect and reach every nook and corner of the country, who are partners in our success stories. We feel proud to work for the welfare of our brothers and sisters through the organization which has just one motive that is ‘Giving Back To Society / Service Of Community’.
